DREXLER PU FOAM
Multipurpose Single-Component Polyurethane Foam
DREXLER PU FOAM is a versatile, single-component polyurethane material that expands and hardens with ambient humidity. It’s the go-to solution for construction professionals and DIY users needing high-efficiency gap filling, insulation, and structural support across a wide range of applications.
Whether you’re sealing window frames or filling large gaps and cavities, this polyurethane foam ensures reliable performance with strong adhesion and long-lasting durability.
Application Areas
DREXLER PU FOAM is ideal for use in various construction and installation scenarios, including:
Filling gaps around door and window frames –
Sealing and insulating large cracks, holes, and wall cavities –
Electrical and plumbing installations, providing tight seals and noise insulation –
Roof connections and transitions where gaps are common and insulation is needed –
This foam helps prevent air leaks, increases energy efficiency, and improves soundproofing.
Progressing Temperature
The ideal working temperature for this product is between +15°C and +25°C.
⚠️ Important Note: If the working temperature drops below +5°C, the foam may not cure properly and application is not recommended. Ensure your workspace is within the recommended range for best results.
Surfaces
Before applying DREXLER PU FOAM, prepare the surfaces as follows:
Surfaces should be dry, clean, and free from dust and grease –
If necessary, apply a primer to enhance adhesion –
For porous surfaces, pre-moisten the area lightly with water to support proper expansion and bonding of the foam –
Following these surface prep guidelines will ensure superior adhesion and maximum coverage.
Application
Using DREXLER PU FOAM is easy with the proper handling:
Shake the can vigorously 20 to 30 times before use –
Screw the adaptor tightly into the valve –
Always use the can in the inverted (upside-down) position –
When filling joints and cavities, fill only up to 50% of the space — the foam will expand as it cures –
Use in well-ventilated areas and follow all safety precautions –
This application method ensures optimal foam expansion and prevents overfilling or material waste.
Cleaning
After use, it’s important to clean up any residue:
Cured foam can only be removed mechanically or using a special PU foam cleaner –
Always clean tools and adaptors immediately after application to avoid permanent clogging –
Storage
Proper storage of DREXLER PU FOAM preserves its shelf life and effectiveness:
Store in cool and dry areas, protected from water, frost, and extreme temperatures –
Keep the can in an upright position at all times –
The can must be kept between +5°C and +30°C – temperatures outside this range can reduce product life –
Place cans on wooden pallets, away from direct contact with the ground –
Opened cans should be used immediately –
Stack a maximum of 6 layers –
Under proper conditions, shelf life is 15 months –
Following these guidelines helps maintain the product’s pressure and chemical integrity.
Safety
DREXLER PU FOAM is a pressurized chemical product and should be handled with care:
Keep out of reach of children –
Do not expose the can to direct sunlight or temperatures above +50°C –
Never throw the can into fire, even after use — risk of explosion –
Use only in well-ventilated areas –
Do not smoke during application –
Wear protective clothing, gloves, and eye protection during use –
Avoid contact with skin and eyes –
Always read the product label and safety data sheet before use to ensure proper handling.
